As part of our commitment to support and develop technical staff across the University, we became a founding signatory of the Science Council's Technician Commitment.
The Technician Commitment is a university and research institution initiative, led by a steering group of sector bodies with support from a wide, collaborative initiative led by the Science Council and supported by the '' campaign. It ensures visibility, recognition, career development and sustainability for technicians working in higher education and research.
On 28 September 2018, the Vice-Chancellor officially launched the Technician Commitment at an event open to all staff. The event was attended by many members of staff who all pledged their support to the Commitment. You can .
