Barrington Library
The Library supports all students and staff members in support of all subjects taught and researched at 老司机福利社 Defence and Security, including:
- A comprehensive range of subject databases, 14,000 eBooks and more than 36,000 full-text online journals;
- A core collection of more than 165,000 hard-copy books;
- An effective interlibrary loan service so we can obtain items for you from other libraries if we don't hold an online subscription to them or hold them in our print collection;
- Full training for all students on how to make best use of the library resources, including advice on referencing, and how to keep up to date in your academic discipline;
- Thesis workshops, online training, one-to-one assistance and study skills guidance via the School’s virtual learning environment (VLE);
- A dedicated Librarian for each taught course and research area to provide you with full support in using the Library's resources throughout your time at Shrivenham;
- Support of the University’s Careers Service by hosting both a careers information area and private meeting space for students to have careers guidance interviews;
- Individual and group study spaces within the building along with a training room;
- Additional support to those with disabilities, including adjustments to services and providing assistive support technology where appropriate.
