Current activities

Stefan Subasu is currently based in DARTeC, where his research focuses on Future Aircraft Communications and Data Management. His work centers on designing advanced communication system algorithms that integrate both terrestrial and non-terrestrial networks. He is particularly focused on optimizing aircraft communication links through the use of hybrid networks, including 5G, HF, VHF, satellite, ground-based, and unconventional bearers. This optimization process incorporates flight dynamic parameters and maneuvers, with the goal of improving the efficiency and reliability of communication systems in aviation.

Key methods in his research include communication protocols, multi-link handover techniques, and Quality of Service (QoS) benchmarking to optimize data exchanges and enhance communication performance.
